It's a long shot, but if you didn't, do check that there is no download for the stream, I mean like you usually have in your list of videos.
In my mid 30s. I hate shorts. I think Youtube is making a mistake with the push to shorts, but what do I know. I wish you the best, and i'm sad I missed the franathon.

The Franathon was pretty cool, I fell asleep to it one time, woke up to it another time, did a workout listening to it later, then had a meal listening to it. It was quite jam packed with fun stuff.

this is correct, there is a 12 hr stream limit, so if you want it to upload, you have to stop streaming before 12 hours hits and then start the stream again. or you could record while you are live streaming and just upload it yourself.
Since YouTube has switched off the home page for people who have their history turned off subscriptions have become more important than ever for me.
long format videos is great, i listen and watch them while i plan, work and do many things and i like that i dont need to check my YT every 5 minute to skip or change from a bad recommendation.
I have a tripple screen setup so i watch yt on one and work on another at the same time.
I watch the long format videos but i understand that it need to be a income/workload balance in everything.
The Youtube "blackmail" ad oppression that google have started dont make it easier to watch your videos but you will get a view from me that is from a not logged in viewer.
I will follow you and sub to you as long as you have a channel fran.
so basically you need a baseline income so higher quality content can attract more people
