A very rare and audacious display - perhaps the only ones in existence now - I give you The Dialco R-100 7-Segment Neon Decade High Voltage Display! A piece of history, and one of those ambitious attempts to muscle in on the Burroughs Nixie market with a direct substitute display that uses high voltage diode logic to convert a decimal input to 7-segment.     For the power cable repair, isn't it a bad idea to have soldered connections under crimp or screw terminations, as the solder can deform over time leading to a poor joint?

    Philips used a cheaper version of this display in some of their european color TVs in the mid 70s, the diode matrix was on an external board though

    The back pcbs reminds me to some cheap ways back in the days, where I didn't wand to waste some circuits / ICs (also lazy thing hehe), and just soldered some diodes to the LED segments ๐Ÿ˜€

    I seem to remember watching a Mustie1 video where he demonstrated a small flathead screwdriver with a spring-tension locking tip. Something like that would be a perfect fit for a situation like those lower screws, if I could remember what it was called. It looked like a normal flat-blade tip, but had a rotating "cutout" in the middle. I don't know how else to describe it LOL.

    this actually looks simple enough to replicate fairly easily, given the rarity of the nixie tubes and difficulty of making them this seems like a decent substitute for replacing them nowadays
