I used to like the Tandy fibre-optic lamps in the 1970s.
This is so cool!!
ikea has this cute 3d-ish lantern that seems to have stars in it, its battery operated. its fun and cute.
Looking at this I thought, "nice… maybe I'll get one". So logged on to Amazon. Looked at the price. Nope… too much for a novelty item.
1970's Lapidating Photostrator ? Anyone?
From the thumbnail I thought there would be movement in the bulb.
I too as a kid had one of those things you described at the beginning of the video with the rotating color wheel underneath, I lost the base along time ago but still have the top portion which passes light through it when I put a flashlight underneath, I've been wanting to build a new bottom for it.
I've seen glass globes of this ilk for quite a while now, but never a bulb! COOL!
Well an infinity bulb
The mirros is inside and outside, but inside is perforated and painted in different color
You got me, see bulb, must be Big Clive, don't read, just click.
when i was a kid my mom had a couple of those fiber optic angles i took one apart out of curiosity and i messed it up and got spanked for it and grounded for a week i was not expecting how simple it was i thought it would have some electronics in it but it was just electric
I saw these at IKEA and wondered what they looked like, now I might pick one up next time I’m there.
I love these. I have a humidifier with this effect
Very cool. You mentioned the 60s and I was reminded of an incandescent bulb with a magnet in which the filament would flop around under AC. I searched and see people demonstrating the effect on YouTube but can't see the bulb I remember. My recollection could be wrong.
This looks very cool
