A walk through the biggest and tamest Philly Pride Day in my memory... what it lacked in intensity it overwhelmed in numbers - it was soooo crowded! So many people and so little going on.... it was weird. I've been going to pride in Philly and NYC for decades but this was something very different from anything I have seen before. No live music, no floats, not bands, no shows, no stages, no craziness. Like a craft fair on steroids. Welcome to the future?

What? No stages?
THERE WERE SIX STAGES AT THIS YEAR'S PRIDE! It surely seems intentional that all six of them were missed. The video also failed to capture the loudest, most raucous, and fun sections of the festival (dancing in the streetes,etc.) It also failed to show any footage of the march which included the largest pride flag in history…yes, right here in Philly! It was nearly the length of a football field.
This is is worse than hindu….
I'm gay, and I was just wondering if pride events are a good place to find a guy to have gay sex with? Of course, I would find a hotel room.

It feels different because the actual traditional festival is June 8th. Thats when they will have a parade and performers. Will be much more fun then!
