What is electronics exactly? It seems that my definition is quite different than most, so I'll try to explain myself.

You channel is more than just an electronics theory channel. You are an electronics product designer and developer.
Your channel is the real deal. It's about developing a well crafted product. So I'm happy to be a subscriber, and hope to develop these skills.
I've also learned the skills of silkscreening, photography, pcb layout, and building enclosures. Of course you have to do these things to make an instrument or product. Thanks Fran.
mmmmm… dusty grapes. hehe
"Total esthetic". Yes!
I sure hope you continue what you have been doing.
In case you couldn't tell, I enjoy your channel just the way it is.
I completely agree with you. I actually completed a PhD in chemistry. What I was interested in was applying modern electronics and computers to analytical chemistry. I certainly needed to understand chemistry for that. However that wasn't the only thing I needed to know. In order to design electronic instruments I needed to know computers at a level that let me interface the circuits I designed to make measurements and control the instruments. This I needed t9 be able to do both digital and analog circuit design. I also needed to be able to do the programming needed to collect data in sub millisecond time spans. I also needed to be able to make the engineering drawings for the various parts. That was aided by my experience as a craftsman for Hughes Aircraft after high sçhool (and before four years in the Navy). I also needed useful skills with a lathe and milling machine. Writing a Thesis required the skills I picked up in English classes. Documenting my work also called on my experience with with photography. I'm sure I've forgotten some skill that I used but that was years ago and I'm retired now. Real projects require more than just one kind of skill.
I used to imagine as a child that the circuit boards were little cities with the traces as streets and components as houses.
Once, my grandparents' TV was "broken. The picture ran through. I sneaked into the living room and removed the back. There the whole world lay before me. Two thin pegs stuck out. Somehow it was clear to me that it must have something to do with that. I turned one of the pins and the picture first ran slower and finally stood still. The adults wavered between panic (I could have been electrocuted) and amazement. I was seven years old at the time.
I get it. Your trying to open folks mind to all the different skills involved in making electronics. Learning new stuff is awesome, and really your viewers should already get that. You're also being real about the subject of electronics, it's more than just the components. Personally, I wouldn't get too worried about folks who may post comments wanting to change your brand, because there will be many so many more that do get it and they will love your videos about the exploration just like you do. It's a niche audience for sure, but if you make these vids for yourself, those inquisitive ones that you want, will follow.
Dear Fran! Please, just do what are you doing! Your channel is very interesting as it is.
You are a fabricator, my father was the same. Guitar player, Singer, welder, mechanic, worked with leather he did all kinds of things. I very much enjoy this channel because it reminds me of my pops ,thank you for the content
What used to smell like strawberries🍓?
The aulistics just don't get it.
That was Philosophy Fran!
