I gladly allocate the better part of my 'slacker' minutes stash' 😉 between some time spent here in the Fran Lab, or catching up on Anton Petrov, or Sabine Hossenfelder. Can't slack… 50 hours a week is standard OT me, and yes… it's brutal.
I'm an outlier — YouTube is pretty much the only video service I'm paying for these days. (I share a Paramount+) I watch a TON of YouTube these days and only a very select few TV shows, and rarely see movies.
One thing to consider Fran is the time zone — the chart is in yours, the viewers could be anywhere!
I think you may be underestimating how many of us pay for YouTube. Unless others have a much higher tolerance for the incessant ads than I do. I also pay for Netflix but spend far more time on YouTube. I seldom have the time or patience to sit down and watch something an hour or more in length.
Early afternoon are Europeans, late afternoon are 'muricans… there aren't many australians it seems… how dare you cangaroos!!!

I watch lots of YouTube so i can watch other people live their lives, since my state won't allow me to live mine.
I'm home with a sick kid today, if I do watch your videos during the week – it's during lunch.
