Another classic Coronet 16mm film from my collection that is not about coronets, but woodwinds! A lot of good info and some demonstrations, and dig those crazy square getups - Man! Anyways... as usual I transferred this film with my own Telecine. Enjoy!

I knew you'd get to this subject basooner or later! : – ) You even included a little sax – but no violins.
You can tell a lot from observing lips.
And that great Belgian invention, the saxophone. 😀👍
Sounds like cartoon or haunted house music….thanks for giving these old films a new life …
Delightful! Brass section?
I'm only half ashamed to say the clarinetist is kinda cute.
Is a potato a woodwind? I used to play the potato in a band.
the sound is pretty decent… what a lovely dress…to me, the Bassoon is kind of 'the cello' of the woodwinds
it's quite a nice overview, with quite a bit of detail. Nice ! Thanks Fran.
I used to play the oboe in college and in concert bands. It's a very frustrating, uphill battle to rely on pre-made reeds and a used plastic student model. Unless you can afford an eight to ten-thousand-dollar professional model or have access to one and a very good teacher that can show you how to tie and scrape reeds, don't bother.
Fran, can you please make this videos with aspect ratio equal to original film?
Sounded like a bunch of blow hards lol
i’m definitely not getting stoned right now watching this
i miss playing the recorder in middle school
Very nice Fran! If the world had more quality music in it, just maybe it'd be a better place to live.. Any films on string instruments?
