    You're just restating Murphy's law.

Dear Fran, Suffering drives us into isolation and seeks to kill us. We aren't proctecting ourselves from distaster but we are running away from love, the thing we need the most but fear the most.

Fran. I can totally relate. Most of our society walks around either over facinated with pop culture, organized competitive sports and idolization. All a waste of time, resources and money. As I age, I discover that I do not play well with others. This revelation only strengthens my commitment to myself and simultaneously deepens my existing current cherished personal relationships.
Hope that all is well or gets better for you Fran.

Short story here: if you capture fleas in a jar, then put a lid on it, you will hear ping ping ping, of the metal lid as the fleas attempt to escape. In a day or so, no more ping ping…if you REMOVE THE LID, the fleas will now just STAY in the jar!!! They've learned that their escape isn't possible. Amazing similarities with PEOPLE.
It seems you realize this idea, Fran, from your overcomings of the past, but variety is the spice of life, and there may be lids and jars made of various different material(s)! The challenge is to find a means to break through each lid and jar's unique properties (break on thru to the other side, as Jim once said ), and as you have done, obviously..

But to others, I suggest, as my teacher (yogi stuff) put it.:
to paraphrase , " if you're locked in a room, and you want to leave, and there is no handle on the exit door, you must keep searching .. AND you may find that just because TODAY may be futile, TOMORROW you may find that handle . Tomorrow may bring the possibility of finding what you seek, but it requires constant effort" !
I agree, and try to keep it in my mind, but alot of times I still anticipate the lid coming down any day now. I need to remember the lid is not usually permanent…even when you leave this earth, (reincarnation, more jars & more lids).
    In WWII,
    Winston Churchill said
" when you're going through Hell, KEEP GOING".

    BTW,
    your videos are great Fran!!
    Your products are too!
Love everything I have seen! (And heard).
    Always very interesting to me.
    Thanks for sharing!!!

And it all leads up to… the final disaster. 🙂

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

Murphy's Law, The Peter Principle, and Fran's experience with disaster can all be summed up with this thought:

"Life is what happens while you're planning on doing something else."

In my opinion optimism is all too often a synonym of naivety, because as long as what you're trying to achieve is actually possible, there are always an infinite number of ways it can fail spectacularly and a finite number of ways you can actually succeed.

But, on the other hand, even though I share your "glass not even half full and quickly encroaching towards empty" outlook, despite our constant expectation of a disastrous outcome in our pursuits, our decision to press on with a high probability of failure means we're not entirely nihilistic lost causes. That glass might be plunging towards empty, but as long as that glass can be smashed to bits and replaced with a full glass, we can make do just fine!

Putrefaction is the end, of all that nature doth intend.

Some of us call it doom porn. It does get tiresome being leery of the world. Anyway, like your opinions and chats. Thank you for your vids
