The republic of Science deemed it necessary to redefine the definition of "evidence". The phrase "Empirical Evidence" was created specifically for the purpose of moving the goalpost with regard to what they have termed "paranormal". So to be clear the Empire has decided that anything that can't be measured does not exist directly contrary to the people's actual experience. Fran, some people will just never believe in ufos, my wife is one of those. Every time I talk about ufos she says here we go again, so I just keep my opinions to myself. Yes I too have witnessed ufos. I can't say what it was or if there are little green men/women piloting them. So until you've seen it yourself there will always be haters. Someday it will all come out and some people still won't believe it…
The question of cognitive dissonance in the face of greatly advanced technology is an important one- asking about WWII people looking at an iPhone isn't the right one, a more appropriate one is somone who'd never heard of telegraphy looking at one. He saw system abuse and filed a whistleblower report to the inspector general, who verified it was credible and urgent and took it to Congress. All of this information has been reviewed in over 12 hours of top secret testimony, which is why both the Senate and the House have been pursuing this aggressively. Unfortunately we cannot know any of this information because everything is over classified to protect individuals, not secrets.
